Shabbat has ended. It was a very warm and sunny day. We sit on pins and needles. Waiting. Waiting. For something to happen. It’s a respite, the calm before the storm. I pray weariness is not beginning to set in, especially for our troops. They have been ready to go, but the ground entrance into Gaza has been stalled for a week now.
[Left of Center] Barak Ravid, writes in Axios: “He (Biden) is standing staunchly with the Israeli Prime Minister in public while trying to hold him back in private.” At least 32 American citizens (or dual citizens) have been murdered. 11 are unaccounted for… we personally know one of the missing. The Biden administration has been very supportive in sending aircraft carriers into the region and giving Israel back the Iron Dome batteries they took last year. He has pledged utmost support, which has probably kept Hizbulla from making their move, at least for now. They lost their advantage by not striking on the first day in a massive attack, and now we have hundreds of thousands of troops on the Lebanese border and the cities in direct line of fire have been evacuated. Over 80,000 Israeli citizens have been moved to safer locations throughout the country.
The US and the EU have been actively funding the Palestinian Authority, which, in turn pays terrorist’s families salaries (the Martyr’s Fund). This amounts to up to $3429.00 per month annually for life. The program has been nicknamed Pay to Slay, completely erasing the Taylor Force Act, which in 2018, cut off all funding to terrorists who murder innocent civilians in Israel. Biden just pledged $100 million in aid to Gaza. It is supposed to be used for humanitarian purposes only. If you believe that one, then-
So the Biden admin is playing both sides of the game board. Our ‘team’ and ‘the other team.’ He has been vocal about using his influence to force Israel into a so-called peace deal as well as the current situation of stalling. Weakening. This morning 20 semi trucks filled with solely ‘humanitarian aid’ were allowed to pass (checked by a corrupt UNRWA) from Egypt into Gaza. Hamas, last night to show how ‘humane’ they were, released two of the American women hostages. I’m more than relieved for them. It is such an answer to prayer to get two of the women back to safety. They are from New York and will be returning home shortly. But it was a propaganda stunt that was eaten up by the mainstream media as a show of their kindness and fairness.
In the meantime, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad have not stopped lobbing missiles, mostly short range, into center and southern Israel. At night, the volleys are continual, with 30-40 being launched a minute. Hamas still controls both sides of the Strip. Their missiles are coming from both Northern and Southern Gaza, complicating things a bit, as civilians have been asked to move into Southern Gaza. The IDF has been making targeted strikes to where the missiles are launched, using drone technology to pinpoint the location of the launch. Iron Dome is used to blast those with a trajectory of a civilian target before it can reach its intended destination. Unfortunately, yesterday, Israel struck a munitions storage warehouse that was located next to an Ancient Greek Orthodox Church. The blast caused the entire side of the church to collapse, trapping many and killing 12 people seeking refuge there. It was not intentional by any means, but a horrible of war. The Greek Orthodox patriarch not only immediately denounced it as a targeted attack, but has reported it to the UN as a war crime. Israel did manage to go a short way into Gaza in just a small area. They retrieved several more bodies that had been left behind two weeks ago. The numbers are expected to rise as many of our missing still have not been accounted for.
In the North, yesterday right before Shabbat, Hizbulla fired on some Israeli military observation posts. There were four attempts to breach the fence and walls and penetrate, but the militants were quickly eliminated. Missiles were fired into Metulla and Kiryat Shmonah on the highest northern corner. A drone was shot down Friday evening, and the jets and drones in our airspace continued surveillance throughout the night.
Iran has more than roared that it will quickly get involved if there are boots on the ground in Gaza. The Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that all options are open. PBS stated that “Israeli forces found Iranian made mortars that show Iran is directly supplying weaponry to Hamas in this fight.” President Biden last month released $6 billion in aid for their civilian nuclear program. He stopped all sanctions upon Iran.
In the meantime, neither Egypt, Jordan or any of the other Arabic countries will take on Palestinian refugees. That ought to tell you something right there. There are several points I’d like to share with you about Hamas. It is the 4th richest terrorist organization in the world. The leader of the organization is Ismail Haniyeh, who is living the life of an oligarch in Qatar. He is reported to be worth $5 billion personally. The military head of Hamas in Gaza is Yaya Sinwar (I’m actually crazy about this name. It sounds like a Hollywood parody) who had spent over a decade in Israeli prison for multiple terror attacks and murder. He received life saving treatment in an Israeli hospital for a brain tumor. He returned to Gaza a hero and has been made the de facto commander after the past 2021 conflict.
In countries, cities and universities throughout the world, the Jewish people are fearful. Pro-Palestinian mobs run freely though streets and on campuses. Jewish-owned businesses and synagogues have been vandalized and firebombed in Europe, the US and Northern Africa. And the tide has already turned. In the media, Israel is being seen as the aggressor. Just two weeks the world stood in support of Israel’s ability to defend herself. If you are reading this and you live in the States, Canada, Germany, Australia or anywhere else and your immigrant minority went on a barbarous killing spree, hyped up on drugs, massacring, mutilating, torturing, burning alive your fellow countrymen: men, women and children; taking away your family members to G-d knows what fate; raping women atop piles of corpses; torturing children in front of their bound parents and parents in front of their children, how would you want your country to respond????
It is night here again. May it be a peaceful one. May we that are not guarding Israel lie down in peace and rise up in strength, faith and hope.
Praying for you is all I can do Alex
